Ourservices
We take gas and fire detection, sampling, process and automation systems from the first drawing to commissioning under one roof. We service, test and calibrate life-saving, fire-fighting, breathing, gas detection and lifting equipment on ships and at industrial sites. For each service we set out the scope, the intervals and the rules behind them.

Survey, system design, product supply, installation, commissioning and periodic maintenance for fixed gas and fire detection: one team from start to finish, turnkey.

From engineering and installation to commissioning and handover, one team manages the entire process for gas and fire detection, gas sampling, process and automation systems.

Annual thorough examinations of lifeboats, rescue boats, davits and release gear; five-yearly overhaul of release gear and winch load testing; renewal of falls.

Inspection of lifejackets, immersion suits, lifebuoys and their lights, air pressure testing of suits and replacement of pyrotechnics before they expire.

CO₂, clean agent, foam, water mist, sprinkler and galley systems: quantity checks, release and alarm tests, blow-through testing of pipework and cylinder requalification.

Periodic foam testing and complete conversion to PFOS-free foam: draining, cleaning, refilling and the documents the surveyor will ask for.

Annual inspection, recharging and pressure testing of portable and wheeled fire extinguishers, plus fire hoses, nozzles and firefighter's outfits.

Detector-by-detector testing of fire detection and alarm systems, sample extraction systems, panel checks, fault-finding and spare parts.

SCBA and EEBD servicing on a calibrated test bench, hydrostatic testing of cylinders and breathing air quality testing on compressors.

Calibration and repair of portable and fixed gas detectors using traceable calibration gas, plus supply of detectors, sensors and gas.

Proof load testing with water bags and certified weights for davits, cranes, gangways and lifting points, together with thorough examination and certificates.

Inspection and renewal of pilot ladders, embarkation ladders and their rigging in accordance with SOLAS V/23, the 2028 performance standards and ISO 799-1.

Inspection, refilling and replacement of medical oxygen sets and resuscitators; checks of the ship's medical equipment and its stocks of medicines and medical supplies.

Calibration checks and servicing of ODMEs and 15 ppm bilge alarms, UTI and sounding tapes, thermal imaging cameras, pressure gauges and other measuring instruments.

Breathalyser calibration, and alcohol and drug test kits for use on board that comply with the policy your charterers and vetting inspectors check.

Periodic inspection of safety harnesses, lanyards, fall arresters and self-retracting lifelines, with a tag and a record for every unit.

Hands-on training while our technicians are already on board: breathing apparatus, gas detectors, lifeboat release gear and enclosed space entry.

Maintenance and calibration planning, on-site periodic maintenance, fault service, spare parts and remote technical support for gas and fire detection systems, including systems installed by others.

Calibration of gas detectors, breathalysers, and pressure, temperature and electrical measuring instruments against traceable references, at our service locations or on your site.
Service tracking on one screen
We run our service work on Vertex Service, a platform we built ourselves. The form a technician completes on site becomes a signed certificate as soon as it is approved, and it appears straight away in your customer portal. No more chasing service due dates in spreadsheets.
Certificates verified by QR
Every certificate is digitally signed and carries a QR code. A surveyor or port official scans it and sees within seconds that the document is genuine.
Customer portal
Certificates, service orders, quotations and invoices for your vessels and sites sit in one account. Download documents one by one or in bulk.
Due-date tracking
List the equipment due within 90 or 30 days in one click; anything overdue is flagged separately. Renewal dates no longer slip through.
Offline app in the field
Our technicians run every job in a phone app. Forms, photos and readings are saved even without signal on board and sync as soon as a connection returns.
Planned around port calls
We follow each vessel’s AIS position and ETA and plan the service around the time the ship spends in port.
Secure and traceable
Each user sees only their own company’s records, and two-step sign-in is available. When a record changes, who changed it, when and why is kept on file.
Vessel, company, person and certificate details on these screens are sample data.Discover the platform at vertexservice.nl
