Fire detection and alarm systems
Detector-by-detector testing of fire detection and alarm systems, sample extraction systems, panel checks, fault-finding and spare parts.
A detector that cannot see smoke is worse than having none at all, because everyone relies on it. Testing detectors one by one is slow work, and that is exactly why it gets skipped.
We test every detector and manual call point, read the panel's history and rectify faults, so the system is one the crew can trust rather than one they have learned to ignore.
Scope
Smoke, heat and flame detectors are tested with the proper test tools, not with a lighter.
Call points, sounders and flashing beacons, and general alarm interfaces.
Batteries, earth faults, power supplies, and fault and disablement logs.
Fire door release, ventilation shutdown and other functions controlled by the system, as installed.
Suction, flow indication and accumulators in cargo hold smoke detection systems.
Fault-finding, replacement detectors and spare parts.
