Crew training and equipment familiarisation
Hands-on training while our technicians are already on board: breathing apparatus, gas detectors, lifeboat release gear and enclosed space entry.
Equipment is only as good as the person using it at three in the morning. The best moment to practise is while the technician who has just serviced it is still on board.
During the service visit we run short, hands-on sessions with your crew, on the equipment of that ship rather than through a generic slide presentation.
Scope
Donning, pre-use checks, reading the pressure gauge and knowing what the warning whistle means.
Bump tests, reading alarms and measuring an enclosed space atmosphere in the correct sequence.
How the on-load release gear works, the resetting procedure and the checks the crew need to carry out before a drill.
Entry permits, atmosphere testing and a rescue drill with the ship's own equipment.
