The Solo 365 smoke detector tester allows easy, functional testing of smoke detectors in any environment thanks to its light weight, built-in LED torch, and non-pressurised smoke cartridges that are far smaller than standard Solo aerosol cans. Combining the simplicity of the Solo 330/332 head with the intelligence and cartridge system of the Testifire range, the Solo 365 features an ‘auto-start’ proximity sensor that will automatically start and stop the testing process to reduce wasted smoke and let engineers move around sites quicker. The powerful 2600mAh / 9.5Wh Lithium Ion battery is considerably smaller and lighter than the batons used for Testifire systems, making the unit easier to carry and use, while the MicroUSB interface means recharging can be done almost anywhere at any time.

Solo 808, 809 & 810 – Smoke Detector Testing Starter Packs
Our Solo smoke detector starter packs are made up of the equipment needed for smoke detector testing at entry level. As well as the Solo 330 smoke dispenser and the Solo A10 smoke detector tester spray, the kit includes an extension or telescopic access pole. There are three kits to choose from depending on the working height required.

Solo 101 – Extension Access Pole
The Solo 101 extension access pole, designed for use on its own or in conjunction with a Solo telescopic pole, allows for detector testing equipment to be used at normal ceiling height or up to a maximum working height of 9 metres. The extension access pole negates the need for ladders or expensive scaffolding and therefore ensures that alarm technicians fully comply with the Safe Working at Height Directive.

With the ability to create various size combinations, the Solo 200 universal detector removal tool is designed to suit the majority of smoke, CO and heat detectors for removal, inspection and replacement. The Solo tool has colour coded grips that simply twist in to place and the universal joint allows the tool to remain parallel with the ceiling. This makes it ideal for the removal of detectors installed in sloping ceilings. The Solo detector removal tool is to be used in conjunction with a Solo telescopic access pole and can also be used as part of a Testifire system. Testifire 1000 Smoke/Heat Detector Tester – Head Unit
Testifire products offer multi-sensor testing capabilities. The Testifire 1000-001 replacement smoke/heat detector tester can be used with your existing Solo telescopic or extension pole and helps remove the need for expensive scaffolding when testing detectors that are out of reach. The unit is supplied with the required smoke capsule.

Solo 365 Adaptor for ASD Systems
Designed for use with the Solo 365 smoke detector testing head unit, this firm rubber attachment facilitates quick and easy testing of ASD – aspirating smoke detection – systems by directing and containing the synthetic smoke to a small area directly over the sampling holes. The Solo 365’s delayed start function combined with the adaptor’s directed and contained flow of smoke provide engineers with a quick and efficient test cycle, cutting down on wastage. Solo 332 – Large Smoke Dispenser
Fitted with a large clear cup, the Solo 332 is a smoke dispenser suitable for detectors up to 17.7cm/7″ in diameter. Designed to introduce simulated smoke (not supplied) to a detector in an effective manner, the 332 allows a functional sensor test to be carried out. The dispenser is suitable for use with the Solo telescopic and extension access poles to enable safe smoke detector testing when installed at height.

The Solo 365 smoke detector tester is not compatible with the battery batons used for other testing equipment, such as the Testifire or Solo 400 series, and instead uses a new battery pack that fits in the head of the unit. Utilising high-capacity Lithium Ion technology, the new Solo 365 battery pack can be recharged by a standard MicroUSB cable from almost any power source while the small and lightweight design means spares can easily be carried around on site.

The Solo 814 smoke and heat detector test and removal kit is supplied with a 4.5m telescopic access pole.
