The Uniphos FumiGuard is an advanced continuous gas detection system for detecting Phosphine (PH3). It has been specially designed for applications like fence line or peripheral monitoring of a fumigated area.
It comprises of a master control unit and up to 8 gas detection heads. The modular design of the system enables the user to easily connect multiple detection heads in a loop (daisy chain), saving cable cost in the process. The Uniphos FumiSpec-Lo is a Single Gas Sulfuryl Fluoride (SO2F2) measurement and alarm monitor designed for leak detection during the fumigation process and in the clearing procedure prior to re-entry. It is equipped with a non-dispersive infrared, dual wavelength sensor to detect low concentrations of Sulfuryl Fluoride. With user-settable data logging features the device can log gas concentration values with date and time.
FumiSpec-Lo has been approved by Douglas Products, USA, the owner of the Vikane® and ProFume® fumigant brand and is one of the few devices to pass rigorous testing by the USEPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) for accuracy and false negatives at the clearance concentration of 1 ppm.
