Dräger PSS Lung Demand Valve (LDV)
The Dräger PSS lung demand valve (LDV) is designed for the most demanding applications where breathing apparatus must be worn; with its compact, robust design and excellent pneumatic performance it always delivers the breathing air you need. The main housing is made of an extremely robust composite material, and a durable silicone rubber protective cover gives extra protection against impact, flames and chemicals, keeping downtime and repair costs to a minimum. The factory-sealed balanced piston mechanism needs no periodic maintenance or lubrication of the dosing valve. The cover stays attached to the housing during use but can be removed quickly for cleaning and disinfection. Whatever connection is chosen (PI, RD40, M45 or ESA), secure attachment is ensured; two-action disconnection prevents accidental release during use. It activates on the first breath, giving positive-pressure breathing protection from the first moment. It is easy to operate and connect to the face mask, even with gloves; the positive-pressure shut-off button is central, and its shape does not block the mask's field of view. The balanced piston mechanism is very quiet even during heavy work, supporting team and radio communication. Once connected to the mask it can rotate, and a swivelling banjo medium-pressure connection gives extra freedom of movement.
