Dräger BG ProAir
The Dräger BG ProAir is a positive-pressure closed-circuit breathing apparatus designed for long-duration operations; it can be used for up to four hours. The positive-pressure circuit prevents hazardous substances from entering the closed breathing system. Exhaled carbon dioxide is removed by a CO₂ absorber, and the air is cooled and enriched with oxygen before inhalation. Oxygen can optionally be dosed to the work rate. The carrying system distributes weight evenly; reflectors and a buddy light system let team members see the wearer and the device status. Cooling options include advanced regeneration material and a simplified ice system. A high-contrast colour display shows cylinder pressure, warnings and Time-To-Whistle; a Bluetooth module connects to gas detectors and a PC connection is used for data and configuration. Telemetry and RFID, PASS (motionless alarm), ADSU (manual alarm) and temperature measurement are integrated. A low-pressure sensor warns when oxygen runs low. The same system components as the PSS BG 4 (FPS 7000 full face mask with communication, test equipment, oxygen booster pump, Drägersorb) can be used. The device is fully machine washable and needs no tools for maintenance.
