Dräger Bodyguard 1000
The Dräger Bodyguard 1000 is an automatic PASS device (motionless alarm) for breathing apparatus wearers: it alerts the team with conspicuous, instantly recognisable signals when the wearer stops moving or is in distress. Its robust design operates from -30 to +60 °C. It needs no periodic maintenance; only the battery is replaced when necessary. It works with push buttons that can be operated with gloves, performs a full automatic self-test at start-up, and accidental switch-off during use is prevented by a tally key or two-button operation, depending on the operating mode. With an optional crocodile clip or safety clip it can be attached to any breathing apparatus at the shoulder, hip or back plate. After a nominal 25 seconds without movement and a further 8 seconds without cancellation it sounds a full locating alarm; the motion sensor timing can be configured with the RFID-PC-Link module and a PC. Two bright LEDs help locate the wearer in poor visibility, and low-frequency flashing blue LEDs keep team members visible to each other. Full data logging is included and the operation history can be downloaded via RFID-PC-Link. A thermal alarm sounds when the ambient temperature rises quickly or exceeds safe levels. Versions with buttons or with a tally key are available.
