Dräger Breathing Air Cylinders

EN 144

Dräger compressed air breathing cylinders are cylinders for any application where respiratory protection is needed. The range extends from carbon composite to steel. The NANO type 4 cylinder is fully composite and designed to minimise the weight firefighters carry; it weighs 2.8 kg at 6.8 l / 300 bar including protective caps, more than 47% lighter than steel type 1 cylinders. The carbon composite type 3 cylinder has a seamless aluminium liner wrapped in carbon fibre and is 33% lighter than steel type 1. Steel type 1 cylinders are intended for budget applications such as the shipping industry. The cylinders can be cleaned by machine or by hand with a standard detergent and can be customised with logo, labels and colours. Depending on fill cycles and materials, design life is 20 years, 30 years or unlimited (NLL). An excess flow valve (EFV) prevents uncontrolled air release if the valve is damaged; the valve is approved to EN 144. QuickConnect coupling, the Twinpack system and flame-retardant covers are offered as accessories.
