Dräger Oxy SR
The Dräger Oxy SR is an oxygen self-rescuer: a respiratory protective device for self-rescue that is independent of the ambient air, offering a trusted and cost-efficient self-rescue solution for mining operations. It is available with 30 or 60 minutes of escape time and can be used maintenance-free over its entire service life, with no additional pressure or weight tests required. It has a comfort bite mouthpiece, nose clip and protective goggles, offers low breathing resistance and is anti-static. A quick visual inspection of the outer shell, the Safety Eye and the optional temperature indicator confirm that the device is functional. A training device is available to practise donning; optionally it can simulate the raised temperature of the inhaled air and the breathing resistance. The 30- and 60-minute devices are donned in a similar way, and a CAP III (NIOSH) device is available as an alternative. Two lifetime options are available: 5 or 10 years. It can be carried on a shoulder or hip belt, with wall holder and hand strap options as well. It protects against toxic gases and/or lack of oxygen, is approved to DIN EN 13794 and has temperature class T1-T4. Dräger disposes of damaged, opened, used and expired self-rescuers.
