Dräger PAS Lite
Dräger PAS · Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)

Dräger PAS Lite

EN 137:2006

The Dräger PAS Lite is a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for industrial environments that need a simple, robust and easy-to-use apparatus; it combines reliability with comfort and performance, has a long service life and needs little maintenance. It uses the same high-quality pneumatics as firefighting apparatus. The carrying system has an ultra-light space frame made of very strong carbon composite with excellent impact, heat and chemical resistance. The air supply and gauge hoses are integrated into the frame, reducing the risk of snagging and tangling, and hoses can be replaced easily and cost-effectively. Materials shaped for comfort at the shoulders and hips and the harness design distribute the weight well; rubber-coated fabric gives comfort and chemical resistance and performs well in flame tests (NEN-EN 137 type 2). All main parts mount quickly, and the pressure reducer sits inside the frame for extra protection. An easy-clean standard harness, an integrated lung demand valve or airline options such as the Dräger PAS ASV can be selected; it integrates with all Dräger PAS Airline equipment and is fully compatible with Dräger Panorama Nova and FPS 7000 full face masks. It is designed for steel or carbon composite cylinders of 4 to 9 litres at 200 and 300 bar; secondary supply hoses for rescue, decontamination or airline use and electronic voice communication options are available. According to the technical table, the back plate and harness weigh 2.7 kg and inlet pressure is 0–300 bar; it has a mechanical pressure gauge and a single-cylinder configuration. Approvals: NEN-EN 137:2006 (type 2), NEN-EN 14593 Part 1, NIOSH, SOLAS II-2 and MED.
