Dräger X-plore 8000 Hoods
Dräger X-plore 8000 hoods are headpieces for the Dräger X-plore 8000 powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) system working on ambient air; they are also compatible with the Dräger X-plore 9300 airline system for an independent air supply. They give face and respiratory protection together and are recommended wherever no additional mechanical head or eye protection is needed. They meet protection class TH3 with the X-plore 8300, 8500 or 8700, and device class 3B with the X-plore 9300. The hoods are very light and comfortable in long-term use; air distribution at the hose connection avoids a cold feeling at a single spot. There are two sizes: S/M (52-59 cm) and L/XL (57-64 cm). Standard and premium models are available, each in a short (neck-length) or long (shoulder-length) version. The seal material is PP/PE on standard hoods and PA- and PU-coated on premium hoods. The head harness is an adjustable band in two sizes. They are used in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries and in hospitals. Approvals: EN 12941 TH3 and AS/NZS 1716 (with 8300/8500/8700), NIOSH (with 8500 and 8700), EN 14594 class 3B (with 9300); eye protection to EN 166.
