Dräger Saver CF
The Dräger Saver CF is a constant flow emergency escape breathing apparatus with a flame-retardant hood. It is simple to put on and operates automatically: when opened it activates and begins feeding a continuous supply of breathing air to the hood, so it can be used with minimal training. It was designed to be suitable even for people with spectacles or facial hair. Depending on the model it provides 10 or 15 minutes of escape air: the Saver CF10 has a 2 L 200 bar aluminium cylinder, the Saver CF15 a 3 L 200 bar steel cylinder and the Saver CF15 CC a 3 L 200 bar carbon composite cylinder. A simple, fail-safe reducer system gives a consistent air flow until the cylinder is completely empty, and an alarm whistle sounds before the air supply is exhausted. The flame-retardant hood has a large visor for maximum peripheral vision. It is available with a soft bag or a hard case; the black anti-static cases and bright orange bags carry photoluminescent panels and reflective stripes for visibility in low light. It can be wall-mounted in hazardous areas and worn as a chest bag or over the shoulder; the materials are washable, flame retardant and let water drain freely. The SE version has a newly developed neck seal resistant to high temperatures, ozone and diesel fumes, as often found in engine rooms; standard Saver CF15 units can be retrofitted with the SE option. A transparent window on the bag and case lets you check the cylinder pressure gauge without unpacking the unit. It is approved to EN 1146 (2005), DNV GL fire and type approval, SOLAS Chapter II-2, the Marine Equipment Directive, the Pressure Equipment Directive and ISO 23269-1:2008; hard case and anti-static soft bag versions are suitable for explosive atmospheres (zone 0). It weighs 15.21 lb.
