Dräger FPS-COM 5000
The Dräger FPS-COM 5000 is a communication unit developed specifically for the Dräger FPS 7000 full face mask; it provides clear, hands-free communication via a voice amplifier or radio, even in extreme conditions. Digital noise suppression filters all interference reaching the microphone inside the mask and suppresses acoustic feedback; in particular, breathing noise is not passed to the voice amplifier or radio. Using the plug, it connects to more than 350 different radios via the external Dräger C-C440 push-to-talk button or the Dräger C-C550 remote speaker microphone (RSM); optionally it can be connected directly to the radio using its integrated push-to-talk button, and Bluetooth connection is possible with certain radios. If you forget to switch it off, it turns itself off when no breathing has been detected for ten minutes (after a warning signal), extending battery life and lowering maintenance costs. Together with the Dräger PSS BG 4 plus, which can supply breathing air for up to four hours, it keeps you in contact during long operations. A newly developed click lock lets it be fitted and removed without tools; thanks to IP67 protection it does not need to be removed for manual cleaning. The flexible gooseneck of the ear speaker can be adjusted to the shape of your head.
