Dräger PARAT 7500
The Dräger PARAT 7500 is a combined fire and industrial escape hood equipped with an ABEK CO P3 filter. It protects against toxic industrial and fire-related gases including carbon monoxide, vapours and particles for at least 15 minutes, and its intuitive handling ensures the fastest possible escape while providing high wearing comfort. The filter is approved to EN 403:2004 and DIN 58647-7:1997 and additionally tested in accordance with EN 14387; it is tightly sealed with two filter plugs throughout its long lifetime. There are two packaging options: the Soft Pack, made of textile with ingress dust protection to IP5, and the Hard Case, a robust plastic housing with splash water protection to IP54. Both have a viewing window for checking the filter expiry date and the condition of the device, and a security seal shows whether the unit has been opened. Soft Pack and Hard Case can be carried with a belt, shoulder strap, grip clip or belt clip, and the Hard Case can also be wall-mounted with a wallholder. It is ready for escape in three steps: opening the packaging automatically releases the filter plug, the filter is deployed into operating position and the hood can be donned immediately; the self-adjusting internal head harness needs no further adjustment. The filter's service life is eight years; replacing the filter after eight years extends the hood's total service life to 16 years.
