Dräger X-am® Pump
The Dräger X-am pump is an external pump for the Dräger X-am 2500/2800 and X-am 5000/5600/5800 portable gas detectors, designed for remote measurements and clearance measurements in tanks and tank systems, tunnels or shafts. It clips onto the X-am; it starts automatically when connected to a switched-on gas detector and switches off automatically when removed, so changing from diffusion to pump mode is quick and easy. With the pump, ambient air can be reached from a distance of up to 45 m; it is optimised for hoses with a diameter of 3 mm. The pump is approved for use in Ex zone 0. At 17.5 cm high and 200 g it is compact; it is dust and water-tight to IP67 and operates reliably at low temperatures down to -40 °C. The battery charges via micro-USB with a standard mobile phone charger in about six hours; its capacity covers three working weeks with 8 measurements per day (or up to 20 hours of continuous operation) without reducing the X-am's operating time. Pump run time, charge status, battery warnings and the flow alarm are shown on the X-am and stored in the data logger; total run time can be evaluated with the Dräger CC-Vision software.
